Ok.. Sorry for cross posting this like a mad woman, but I'm in need of assistance.

I purchased 15 yards of yummy wine colored crushed panne velvet to make drapes in my bedroom. I can sew, but really a novice at it. I just want panels and I'm hoping to line them so they'll be very dark. I've searched around for very simple patterns but their either 'tab top', which I don't like, or (seemingly) very difficult.

I was thinking I could use some sort of fusible liner (to keep the sewing difficulty down) and simply hemming the fabric and attaching drapery hooks. My worry is that this seems like a big project and I've invested a good amount of money in the fabric and I don't want to rush to get it done and end up with something less than wonderful.

Does anyone have simple patterns or instructions for this? I'd hate to mess it all up. OH.. the fabric came in one HUGE batch.. so I need to cut it to size.. and.. well.. I'm not positive how to do this correctly either.

Any ideas? (Thanks so much, in advance)
