craftgrrl | Glueing items to a car dashboard

I've read the FAQ/Memories posts about decorating the interior of a car, but I have an unanswered question:

What glue would be safe, no doubt about it to use on a dash board? I don't want to ruin my dash or have it flake off if i decide to remove something, especially since I don't plan on keeping the car forever.

I have a Saturn, if that helps any, to give you an idea of what the material is like. It feels like rubber, but I really don't want to risk it.

I was thinking Hot Glue because its pretty flexible and removes easily. I don't know. Any experiences?
