i hope this isn't violating any rules or anything because its not exactly a craft question-- i hope its not but as a protection clause= i hereby apologize in the case of a wrongful post on my part and will delete such post with due speed if convicted.

but ok its about my prom dress. and since the explanation is inevitably long as hell i'm going to let you decide if you want to help or not....
so i bought a dress for prom
and then all of a sudden everybody and their mother got dresses in the same style so i went to look for a new one and during my search i found THE dress.
you know the one where you try it on and angels sing and all that good stuff?? yes. so after my mom and i flipped the tag to see who made this heavenly creation and how much it cost...

i promptly turned, ran into the dressing room and removed the dress from my body in record time.

because it cost THREE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS. no not pesos people-- dollars
so now my dilemma is that i will. not. pay such an exorbitant amount of money for a one-night event but i need a dress that is completely different. something that nobody else will have and that when i walk in the prom everybody will say "why didn't i find that dress??" so i am begging you guys to give me suggestions. i've been to all the stores and i've looked online... and nothing is good enough so if you know any really great places (( i can get into the city if need be )) or you know someone who makes really great dresses (( and won't practically demand my first- born in return )) tell me?
to help you- i want it to be strapless or halter and a-line no poofy-ness, i did the princess thing last year. think... oscars? dazzling? i don't know haha
i will love you for life if you can help me. i seriously might send you a present...
