one of my many projects this weekend...
Oct. 20th, 2002 02:19 pmi've been a domestic MACHINE this weekend. it was all about cooking and crafting yesterday.
here's a little project i did yesterday:
glittery star magnets!

i bought a small bag of wooden stars [3 sizes], elmer's glitter glue, silicon glue, and magnets.
~ paint a coat of the glitter glue on wooden stars.
~ let them dry completely then paint a second coat [i only did 2 coats, the glitter is so pretty i didnt wanna load on too much and have a mess]
~ after everything is dry put the silicon glue on the front of the biggest star, and on the back of the medium sized on.
~ stick the medium star on the edge of the big star and put something on top to hold it down, or use a clothes pin to hold them together.
~ when that is dry, repeat those steps with the smallest star on top of the medium star.
[i did these in ascending order but i'm sure it would look cute one on top of another too]
~ when everything is dry, put some silicon glue on the back of the biggest star and the bottom of a small magnet. press together and let sit for about 15-20 minutes to ensure it's dry.
~ ENJOY!
