Pictures & a question
Apr. 11th, 2004 09:06 pmHi everyone! ^^ I have a quick question for you all, and then I have some pictures of some things I've made recently.
My question is this: does anyone have a link to a website with instructions on how to make a memory board? I've had a piece of foamboard just sitting taking up space (it's still in it's package, too), so I bought fabric and padding yesterday to make a padded memory board. It seems pretty easy to do, but I'm just wondering how I should attach the fabric and padding to the board. Would hot gluing it be best, or would stapling them to the back of the board be the better way to go? I've looked in the memories section, and done a internet search, but I can't find anything. I have found patterns for it, but I'd rather not have to buy a pattern.
Jean Purse: It still needs decorations and a closure of some kind; and maybe a different strap.

Purple Sundress: I still have to add the straps. The pattern calls for fabric straps, but I'm going to do straps with ribbon that tie on the top of my shoulder instead.

Wall Organizer: The pattern calls for three different kinda of fabric (one for the back, one for the pocket lining, and one for the pockets themselves) but I loved this fabric so much I decided to use it for all of it. This was the last bit left on the bolt, and was the exact amount I needed. I have silver ribbon to add to the pockets, and I still need to come up with a way to hang it. The pattern uses ribbon tied to a twig, but a twig wouldn't look right with this fabric. (The fabric in the bottom left pocket? That's what I'm using for my memory board.)
