I'm not sure if this fits into the 'craft' theme of this community, but i posted it in my journal and a couple of other communities... feel free to delete it if it isn't appropriate.

a rainy day can be really depressing for me... rain sometimes really makes me feel down for some reason.

but i felt a little better today after observing how beautiful our campus can be, despite the rain... once springtime comes and the flowers begin to bloom... i guess whenever i'm sad about the rain, i should think about the flowers. flowers can only blossom after the rain comes.

We have such gorgeous trees in the ravine.

...especially the dogwood trees.

the daffodils and tulips are wonderful, too.

and in the midst of the sea of red and yellow, there stood one single white tulip.

even the wild flowers that some people consider 'weeds' looked incredible today...

i love how beads of water collect on the petals of the shamrocks.

and last, but certainly not least, this is probably one of the most beautiful plants on campus... amazing for a shrubbery. actually, these flowers were my inspiration for this whole nature photography excursion in the rain. i saw them on the way back to my dorm from my bio lab.... they just really struck my fancy and inspired me to look around at all the other flowers.
