Oops... I forgot my Father-in-Law's girlfriend and needed something to go with my Grandma's gift card to Books A Million. So:

Hershey's Kiss roses

Closeup

How To:

These are totally simple. You need:

1 bag Hershey Kisses
1 pack floral stem wire (at least 24 stems, for 2 dozen roses) (I cut mine in 1/2)
Colored Saran Wrap (these are Rose and Violet) cut into 4" squares
Floral tape
silk flower leaves (or you can make them from paper and write messages on the leaves)
2 vases
ribbon for tying bouquets
cold melt glue gun

Glue kisses together bottom-to-bottom.
Insert stem through bottom point into chocolate.
Wrap kiss rosebuds with a square of colored Saran Wrap, being sure to wrap the stem a bit (will help hold rosebud on wire.)
Now, wrap the stem, covering the Saran Wrap with floral tape.
Attach leaves to stem with floral tape.
Stick 'em in a vace, tie a ribbon around, and voila! -- cheap and simple gift goodness.

One of my friends actually made these for me as wedding favors for my wedding, and I use this project in my middle school classes for Valentine's day or Mother's Day. We just made a bunch for Teacher Appreciation Week, also. They are always a hit.
