this may sound really stupid, and i've been through the faq, i swear:

i've done bookbinding before, but with a decorative type chain "stitch" that goes down the spine of the signatures with embroidery floss. now i want to bind some paper and throw it into a book jacket, so the prettiness of the spine doesn't really matter:
a) what kind of durable, cheap thread do i use??? i have thick thread i use for top-stitching vinyl, but it seems too thick? almost like fishing line doesn't like being flexible and making "knots"
b) is there a really SIMPLE stitching method that's also durable, but not like this type because i don't like how it would fold open
c) WHERE can i get decent paper to use? staples only had one package of decent paper to use...and the rest was plain old printer paper
