I'm new! :D

I just joined the other day and figured it was time to make my introductory post! I'm Stacy, 23, Canada, and I've grown up being crafty, creative and artistic. I drew a lot when I was a kid (still do when I find the time, being an adult sucks sometimes) I was in Brownies and Guides (same thing as girl scouts almost) and we always did tons of crafts then. I took art all through high school even tho it was an elective that I didn't need because I was already in band. Since high school I've been getting more into sewing and this past Christmas I got my own sewing machine! :D The project I've been working on now is making an outfit for my grandparent's 50th anniversary tea/mini family reunion. I'm making a white corset inspired, tube top type strapless top and a tie skirt. I've actually been working on the tie skirt for a while (but took a break because I ran out of ties) but then I figured if I put a white top with it it would look great and be perfect for that event. I'm also going to be bringing my black 3/4 length sleeved button front collared dress shirt just in case it's not as warm as I expect it to be (its on June 5th, but there is no accounting for the weather here). I've read back a few entries and checked out some of the memories and it seems everyone does their tie skirts differently - but thats cool, I'm all for diversity - I will try to post pictures of mine when it gets done. This looks like a really awesome community and I'm really looking forward to being a part of it :)
