Ladies and gentlemen, could you dear crafty peoples offer some advice to me.
I want to make myself a new menstrual activist t-shirt, I’m going for red with black text, however not quite sure how easy that is going to be. Being black on red then the screen-printing might work, but might not, it wouldn’t be a real solid colour. For the main image on the front it may be suitable to screen-print, however I want text on the back – which would make it very hard, if not impossible. I do have access to very good screen-printing materials and screen-printer itself, so I know it would be up to the job, it’s just the matter of the effort with the text and whether black on red would work well that’s the problem with that idea.
The only other thing I can think of to do is embroidering, I have the Singer Quantum XL-6000 and the Professional Sew Ware 2.0 to play about with, so I can create the image on my PC and program it into the sewing machine (ever so crafty huh?), however even with the satin thread it might still be too thick to have on a lightweight t-shirt.
Has anyone any idea about what could be used to get an image and writing, in black onto a red cotton t-shirt so that it remains bold and that it doesn’t involve too much work in applying the lettering?
