Jun. 2nd, 2004 02:02 pmHey there,
I guess I'm looking for some input on my future bedroom organization/color usage/decoration. I'll put the images under a cut, but I've got the layout, potential color pallete, and the lime green chair that must come with me.

Here's how I'm thinking I'll place the furniture. I drew everything to scale so I could play around with it, and I keep changing little things here and there, but basically I want the bed area to the right and the sitting area to the left.
Oh, and I know the room is freakin' huge...My dad built a giant two story house 18 years ago but never finished the second floor. Hopefully soon we'll be living up there after living in the tiny 2 bedrooms we've had for practically all of my life.

I was thinking these are the colors I could work with. My bedroom furniture is the deep brown, and my obnoxious chair is about that color green. Maybe I could paint the little alcove (with the computer desk and keyboard) the burgundy and the rest of the walls the pale tan?

This is the wonderful chair that I've been in love with and won't let my parents throw away. I don't want to cover it because I love the color and texture, but it's such an odd color to work with. The picture makes it look darker than it really is though.

And here's the marvelous cotton yarn that I found that is the exact same color as the chair. The picture makes it look darker, once again. I've begun to crochet some pillows and was thinking I could make doillies of sorts to go over little end tables, etc., but I can't think of anything else to make out of it (and no, I won't crochet a blanket out of that--I don't have the patience or the money).
I can't think of what type of bedding or even what color couch I could go with. I don't know, I'm sure I'll change my mind again before I actually get to move up there, but I was just looking for some other opinions.
