Hand-me-down
Jun. 19th, 2004 11:02 pmMy grandmother has been clearing out her closets and her garage, and came up with a bunch of old clothing that had holes in it, were ripped, or slightly stained in spots. She decided to give me this fabric, because some of it was still useable for small projects.
So anyway, I found this shirt that my mom wore when she was maybe 4 or 5. The front had moth holes in it, so I knew that I couldn't reconstruct it into anything wearable, but maybe into something like an accessory. This is also why I didn't take a picture of it before making it into anything...I completely cut off the hole-ridden section.
I came up with this:

It's a stretchy messenger bag. The handle is crocheted with a burgandy yarn I had left over from last Christmas:)
