My very first post...

I'm so excited to have found this community! I believe that it will be the key to getting my creative juices flowing again after a long and unfortunate hiatus.

This dress was made out of fabric leftover after my mother redecorated her bathroom. It is a rather boring silhouette, but works well for summer weddings and the occasional holiday. (Please disregard the messy room and the dirty mirror).


This suitcase was my first decoupage project. Interspersed between the small postcard/poster images are pictures of my family/friends and me on various trips. After this project I became a decoupage addict and many school notebooks and cards followed.


These sandals are evidence of a phase in which I became obsessed with beading flip flops I found for 99 cents at Osco. I believe they were the last pair of this phase, which is shown by the lack in intricacy of their design. Hehe, I love cameos.


I found this purse at the local Goodwill and was fascinated by the number of pockets it has...therefore I had to buy it. I decorated it and must have been feeling romantic at the time.


This is pretty self-explanatory. The cool thing about this lampshade, though, is that it was already painted when I decided to decorate it. Therefore, when the lamp is on, you can see the original painted design underneath the ribbons.

Yay! I am so excited to be part of this community and I can't wait to post future projects.
