T-shirt Purse Tutorial

1. Take a T-shirt
2. line up the bottom
3. cut the bottom off and do the same to the sides and the top
4. you now have a square.. or rectangle depends on the shirt.
5. measure the height and width
6. turn the t-shirt insid eout ie the outside are now inside. and pin teh sides together
7. take a break and go help grandma paint the kitchen *picture is of my GRANDMA painting, not me!!!*
8. take the fabric that will be the lining and fold it inside out.
9. use the width measurements from the t-shirt and apply them to teh lining. ie same width and cut.
10. do the same for the height, but ADD 2 to 4 inches. and cut
11. pin sides
12. measure and cut out pocket
13. sew the sides and the bottom
14. turn it right side out
15. sew the sides of the pocket together
16. sew the pocket to the lining.... or.... if you end up sewing teh sides of the lining together before you add teh pocket. you can sew the pocket still after pining it and createing a lil 'bowl' and sewing the pocket to teh lining.
17. put the lining inside the bag
18. fold the edges over several times
19. make sure you get a layer over the t-shirt itself
20. pin the sides to the t-shirt
21. sew the top like so, over the pins. well .. I take the pins out before my neddle hits them
22. get a peice of ribbon measure to the legnth you want, cut 2 peices and sew one side together
23.sew the other side
24. now add the velcro or ties, sew on teh handles and any extras you wnat

and you have a purse. lol
