craftgrrlI'm a very beginner-level sewer. My questions to the sewing pros out there are:
1. Can a beginner teach herself how to sew? If so, are manuals or online sites helpful?
2. Do you think taking classes to learn would be worthwhile and money well spent? (I live in LA and the classes in my area run about $200 for 6 sessions.)
3. What should I look for when buying a beginner's sewing machine?
Any advice is GREATLY appreciated! ;)
