cheap leather/vinyl
Jul. 8th, 2004 12:57 amI spent a good two hours raiding the local Salvation Army yesterday, and then a thought dawned on me. I kept on noticing all these oldish leather/pleather/vinyl/pvc clothes (skirts/jackets, etc) that, although not the most gorgeous garments in the world, are perfectly salvageable. The material itself would work wonders if cut apart and used to make new whatevers!! And the prices are rather decent ... most skirts were running like 3-6 bucks. SO, just thought I would share this find to you crafty gals (and guys)!
and, although I did not buy any of the aforementioned garments to hack apart (trust me, i wanted to!!), i did find some awesome ties, an old OD green jacket, and a few silly tees that will make it to these pages, as soon as I craft the heck out of 'em!
