I finally have something that (I think) is post-worthy. Hurrah!
My mom brought this really crappy wooden box home from work, figuring I could do something with it. I turned it into a toy box for my niece, (I'm broke, so this is cheaper than buying her one. Also more fun.)
Before
It was full of screws, which left tons of holes. I had to cover most of it with wood putty.

After

The paint job isn't the best in the world, but the animals turned out good, I think. I snagged the stencils from Martha Stewart, and used felt instead of paper.

That's a chalkboard to the left. Both it and the lid are on crooked, but I don't think my niece will notice or mind. I left the right side alone so she can use it as a little desk to color on.

This fish holds paper in his ridiculously huge mouth.

She's coming over this weekend and I really hope she likes it, although I have a feeling she'll be more interested in the toys inside the box. Oh, well.
