creative cook book ideas

So my best friend’s birthday is coming up and one of the things I’ve decided to make her is a cookbook. I was wondering if any of you crafty gals have any ideas on how I can make the cookbook more creative. At first I was just going to type up all the recipes and add some drawings and what not. Then I thought of the idea of using some heavy paper, cutting out circles (like c.d.s), writing the recipes on them, and putting them all in those tubs that blank c.d.s come in (make sense?) Any one have any other ideas? Is there any way I can make the cook book more...interesting? Thanks for any help!
