i decided to try my hand at making a hat to match the scarf i just made. and i went abominably bad. i swear i followed the pattern (as best i could these things are greek to me) i ended up with a weird little thing. its not even an oversized coaster.

so. does anyone have any simple very easy to follow patterns for a crochet hat. or any tips on how to just freestyle it and have it work?
