Aug. 29th, 2004 09:15 amI'm making a sewing/crafting how-to website. I want it to include a lot of tutorials (but tutorials I make myself to avoid conflict). Anyway, there's to be a section about just basic sewing skills, how-to and tips.
So here's where the pretty people on craftgrrl come in. (Did resorting to compliments work? :)
What is your BEST sewing advice you can think of? Like, tips nobody would normally think of that work.
I still remember a woman that said "To sew straight lines, look at the fabric being feeded, not the needle." And ever since then I've never had a problem with straight lines!
Tips like that, be they long involved tips or simple mind-control tips, I want them. (You will be credited unless specified otherwise). :)
