Ugh.

Yet another day where a brilliant idea turns to mush. I have good ideas for bags, great fabric, and yet my stitching always seems (ahaha, seams) to kill me! So, today I decided to make a little clutch out of some fabric that was obviously supposed to be used for pajamas and the lining was scrap from another bag.

So... if you squint really hard it looks really cute, right? Even the word DUCK doesn't look sewn TOO horribly, but I know I could have done a much better job. But now I *heart* felt. Uhm, but you really cant ignore the horrible mess up top. Lets get a closer look!

BAAAAAAH!! It's a mess!

Uh, so here are few things I took away from this.
+ Make the outer fabric a lot larger than the lining or else
+ DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT iron over velcro. It takes away the fuzzy side and now my velcro doesn't work. At all.
+ If I were me (oh wait, I am) I'd stay away from such small bags as this (its about 3x9 inches, which is pretty small) because its hard to sew the top.

I'll just use it for cosmetics.

I wanted to make a bag to kid my friend, who is obsessed with the number pi (don't ask why, though). It got so crumpled and discusting (it was also my first time sewing letters like that) that I couldn't stand to finish it. I cut it up and sewed the edges and made a little wall hanging. It looks better in person, my camera messed up the colors, But still, I call it my biggest mistake. Gotta have one of those always.
