Candle Dilemna Solved!
Nov. 18th, 2002 02:16 pmYesterday I was making these big ol' jar candles

and I ran across a big problem! Everytime I poured the wax in, the hot wax would melt the wax coating on the wick and it would collapse into the bottom of the jar. I am sure many of you know this trick or one similar but I sure didn't! My hubby thought up this little number!

Basically, you tie some string (or, in our case, fishing line) around a pencil..............then you take the end of the string and tie them around the wick. Pull the ends tight and VOILA! you have something to hold your wick upright!
