For Halloween I decided that I wanted to be a Renaisance looking vampire - well, the vampire thing changed because my mom is going to be over at my place helping pass out candy and she'd freak out if I went and did anything like that, so I'm saving it for next year when she, hopefully, won't be over. So I'm just going with the renaisance look and doing this pattern:



I'm making the gold and white one on the right. My sister is going to help me sew it up since I suck at using patterns and can't possibly make the whole thing myself before Halloween when we're moving next weekend and I'll be busy unpacking probably up until Halloween. I bought this awesome woven looking gold material for the top, and some cream fabric for the bottom (satin for underneath the skirt for the lining so it stays flowy and doesn't look stiff), and some pretty sheer yellowy material for the blouse that goes underneath the bodice of the dress.

I'll post pictures once we start working on it and after its done! I can't wait to make it! Now if only I could come up with more places I could wear it...
