Sew until your fingers fall off...
Sep. 23rd, 2004 04:16 pmI've been a busy bee in my new passion sewing. First... I've been wanting to make curtains for a long time now and finally got around to it, now that my gf and I have such an awesome room! They're little ribbon tab top curtains, lined with muslin. I adore the fabric! They were sewn in a day b/c I was at home and for once had access to a machine! yay!

The cowgirl curtains (and me doing calculus)

the paper doll curtains

the little "petting zoo" curtains

the one all the way to the left I made a couple days ago, but the rest I made yesterday b/c it was Mountain Day (a little tradition we have a Smith where the bells ring in the morning of a random, extremely beautiful day, and we all get the day off)

the fabric, clearly, is from the curtains and my wallet, except for the purple one which is just a ribbon with beads on it. the fabric ones are all backed with ribbon (as seen in the last picture) and are all held closed with snaps (with the exception of the doll one which i'm going to buy velcro for).
my hand sewing has gotten much better so i'm really proud!
