i got these boxes at Ikea and decorated them with pictures i cut out of an old book i took home from work on female beauty. i decoupaged them on along with phrases i found in the book and captions that were under the paintings. i traced around the photos and phrases with a sharpie to make them "pop" and glued a black ribbon around the tops of the boxes. spray with varnish/sealent and voila! happy late birthday to my friend Steph.

i really liked how they came out. i liked the idea of combining all these paintings of women from different time periods.
