A cloak

I haven't posted here in a while and not since I changed my LJ name...  though I have commented some.  I thought I was post one of the more recent things I have done.  A couple of weeks ago I made my first cloak.  For outside, I used black fashion suede, which means faux, but I liked the texture and look of it.  I lined it in black cotton and it has a knotted cord frog (instead of the tie the pattern calls for).  It's actually quite warm, yet not too insanely heavy (though it has some weight to it).  It was made from Simplicity pattern 2795, view C.  It actually went together really easily and the directions were easy to understand and follow.  I recommend the pattern if you're considering it.  I am actually really happy with the results and pleased with the final outcome, so I thought I would share.  *grin*  Thanks for taking a look.  I wore it to the PA Ren Faire 2 weekends ago and know that I will get tons more wear out of it in the future.

Drawn closed, hood up.  The scrap of fabric hanging down is actually the length tie about my head, not part of the cloak.  My boy didn't notice it when taking the photo.
