craftgrrli want to dye my chucks.
they're white and while i really like them white (i got blood on them and it maks me look like a bad ass. har.), i'd rather have them black.
my question is this-
if i just throw them in a bucket of rit, will the rubber take the dye as well? i remember having a pair a long time ago and i would color the rubber with markers, them wash it off with windex and do it again. i don't know about dye though.
also, will they come out BLACK black and not grey? i usually have a lot of trouble getting things to go black, even when they're 100% cotton.
it would probably be easier to just paint them with fabric paint and really rub it into the fabric actually. dying them will involve having to let them dry, then i'll probably end up staining all my socks.
