Oct. 20th, 2004 11:37 pmfirst post... and a question.
I need to make a suit white. my boyfriend told me the only way he'd be an angel for Halloween was if i could find him a white suit (i'm being a devil).
The closest I could find him is a pale tan colour.
The suit is polyester and wool.
Can I bleach it? (i'm allergic to bleach, so i have no experience with it whatsoever) Dye it? Spray paint it lightly, provided it doesn't dry totally stiff? I could airbrush it, but that's a lot more trouble than its worth.
any help would be greatly appreciated, i can't really afford to buy another suit if i mess this one up.
and now for some pictures. Not so much crafty as arty. I'm a fine art student, this is what i handed in for my first marking. I'm working with corsetry, and sewing, and fetish photography (but this isn't really the place for that... =)
The corset is life size, and totally wearable. It can't be tightlaced, but it can be worn pretty comfortably provided you're not doing a whole lot of physical activity.
the second picture is how i displayed the work for marking, there is also a smaller paper version of the corset, a paper gas mask (also wearable), and a 'drawing' i did with the same pattern paper.
