scarf and question

here's a scarf that i knitted at work the other day:

it's made of 1 skein alapaca blue sky yarn in the color oatmeal and one skein berrocco sizzle.. but i don't remember the name of the color. maybe the color was sizzle? i don't know.
anyhoo i would like to crochet a hat to go with this. the scarf is knitted yes, but i don't have skills beyond knitting a rectangle. i have been looking around for a warm hat pattern but all i seem to find are patterns for hats that are very hole-y. i would like to make a hat that actually keeps my head warm so if anyone has a good crochet pattern for a hat please share? thank you!
