craftgrrl | looking for fabulous yarn

Hi crafty folks!
I was wondering if any of you have bought homemade chunky funky wooly yarn via the internet? I've seen some beautiful ones posted on on various LJ communities before (kool-aid colours, hand-spun, hand-dyed, crazy textures, sparkly threads, etc) and now I actually want to buy some for a couple small projects but I don't have any links!
Do you have any hand-made yarn sellers to reccomend? I especially would like to buy from an independant female-owned small craftsperson.
If you have any to reccomend in Canada, that would be especially nice because then the price would be cheaper for me, especially the shipping. But if the yarn is really beautiful, then I'd be happy to buy from outside of Canada.
