survival kit

hey, sorry for the boring text only post, but I'm kinda stuck and I was hoping some of you brilliant people out there might help me brainstorm some ideas. See, one of my friends was in an accident over the weekend, and is in the hospital right now, so I thought I'd make him a "hospital survival kit" to cheer him up. I figured munchies would be good (to tide him over with the hospital food :P) and maybe comic books or something like that if he gets bored. Beyond that, I'm kinda at a loss. Anybody have any other ideas? Thanks in advance!
