Oh Christmas treeeeee

Ok.. I'm *sick* of my Christmas tree looking the same every year (blaaah). It's not that it doesn't look nice.. but it just looks.. well.. the same. I have scads of old homemade ornaments, as well as red glass bulbs and white lights. It's nice, but.. blah.

I want to do something totally different this year. Something zany and neat looking. I thought maybe I'd buy a few bags of plastic wild animals, glue hooks to them and decorate with those and zebra and cheetah striped ribbon... but ehh.. maybe not. Then I thought it would be fun to buy bags of army men, spray paint them silver and gold and put those on.... but not sure I really want to do that either. I was wondering if you crafty creative type people have any ideas.. or perhaps would share what you're doing with your trees this year.

Help!! I need inspiration!
