Hey ladies!  I've posted one other time, but NOW, I am the proud owner of a digital camera. So I can post my craftiness and be a real member of this community, lol.  What I am posting is pictures of my christmast gifts for my friends and grandma.  Then the last two pics are of the stockings for the girls on my dorm floor.  My RA asked me if I wanted to do all the names and such (duh, yes!) and the "money jar" for Miss Ball State, the beauty pagent I'm in!  Enjoy!  PS.  I made sure to shrink the pics down so the folks on dial-up don't have to wait forever!

The before pictures of the canvas bags and the piggy banks:

I used acrylic paints on the pigs.  To finshed them off, I'll spray them with shelack (or something like it. . . shelack is just too fun not to say!)  For the images I just traced them off the computer and traced them out onto the pigs using transfer paper.  The Intitals were obviously painted on.

The bags are canvas and since you can't see it, the grandma bag has two frogs hugging because my grandma loves froggies.  The images on the bags are just a preview to what each person has on their piggies.

Here is the stockings, 41 of them.  They are just standard stockings from Target using Elmer's glitter glue pens.  The green was a bastard but the silver worked like a dream.  I JUST did these guys tonight.  My RA asked if I wanted to paint on them for her, I was like, OK!

The jar is a ball jar (the Ball Company, founded by the Ball Brothers, was the one that helped to found BSU in 1918- history lesson for you all!).  Once again the acrylic was used.  I painted the clear jar about 4 times with white and let it dry for a few days.  I copied the image from the internet and used trasfer paper to trasfer the image to the jar.    I stenciled my name across it because I have to have my name on it.  The jar will be displayed in the auditorum lobby and people can put money into their favorite contestant's jar.  We get to personalize it.  I also painted the fruit on that, but I didn't take a pic of that.  YEAH FOR THE MOOSE!  Even if his antlers are slightly cut off. . . .
