I think it turned out nice.
This is how long it is without the cuff....I have always seen him wear hats with a cuff..so I made a cuff. Sorta reminds me of that kid from Fat Albert

Here it is with the cuff:


This is the best picture I could get of the stitches up close. The stitch is so basic, yet I love the ribbing effect.

I couldn't get a good shot of the top.....but it is done nice..I believe.
All I wanted was a basic black hat with a cuff..because that is what I always see him wear.
I made it with Caron Simply soft and a H hook.

I did not want a 3 inch cuff, so I made my beginning chain only have 43.
I did the recommended size for the average adult...34 rows...and it came out awesome, as you can see.
I hope my dad likes it.
