Clothing Scrap Quilt Top

My hubby got a promotion and purchased some new, improved clothing, I hated to waste the old shirts, though-- they'd been thorough so much with us ;) So I'm making him a quilt for Christmas. It's made from three of the old favorite dress shirts and matching flannel. I also created an embroidered patch with my a cute (but tragicly boring) message and my handprint. I've never tried embroidery and I think I'd actually like to learn the right way to do it now.
