Thought I'd show off what I just made for my brother's girlfriend's birthday. Thanks to the instructions that I found at DeborahMerlo.com's DIY section, I think this turned out really swell.



Before:

It never occured to me to take a picture of what I was changing... the pages. oy vey.

The inside (centre page):

I added ribbon along the edges, because of my excessive page trimming.

Would it be possible to make a bigger mess? Honestly now.

(I had issues with making sure the edges of the pages were EXACTLY even. I just kept hacking away, and the pages got skinnier and skinnier. I finally had to stop.)

And all wrapped up in a ribbon, ready to give:



It was super easy, and it didn't take long at ALL. Thought I'd post it in case anyone needed easy (and inexpensive! I paid 49 cents for the book, and the rest I already had on hand) gift ideas. I think I will try to find a more masculine book and make these for a couple of the guys on my list.
