[livejournal.com profile] mactavish posted this a few days ago about making rice heating bags (incidentally, I saw these at the mall for $20 - HAH), and [livejournal.com profile] shann posted this a few days ago about making scented sugar (or salt). My question is this, then:

Since apparently the rice heating bags can be made with salt too (salt heating bags?) and salt can be scented...would it work to...combine the projects? I mean, the only problem I can think of would be that scenting the salt this way would maybe not make it strong enough. I've never done anything like this before so I don't know if the salt turns out just slightly scented or strongly scented or what. If it doesn't come out smelling very strong, what'd be a better way of adding aromatherapy-type scents (I'm thinking lavender, mmm) to the heating bags? I really want to use salt; it's on sale at the local drugstore for 39 cents ;)

Also, the newspaper had tons of JoAnns and Michael's coupons today. Could be a national thing (probably) or might just be a MN thing, dunno.
