Help please.

craftgrrlI've been lurking on here for a while, but this is my first post ever. I'm also sorry to report that my first post ever is an plea for HELP!
I was sewing yesterday and all of a sudden my machine, which is normally very well behaved, started producing these HUGE tangles and loops and eww on the bottom side of my stitching. I adjusted the thread tension, but it didn't help.
I had just changed the bobbin, the thread I was using was cheap Walmart stuff, and I was sewing on knit fabric (t-shirt fabric, to be exact).
Does anyone know what could be causing this?
