messenger bag

i got a sewing machine for christmas, and this is my first project. i'm quite proud, seeing as my "domestic skills" aren't so great. haha. that will soon improve though. i hope.

so now i'm left wondering...is the strap too long? where do normal messenger bags fall....?

i'm also thinking i might add a big bow to the front. to make it more "feminine" either that or these amazing velvet buttons. hmmm. ohhh the possibilities.
