softening pictures

craftgrrlI bought a couple of prints of beaches/palm trees that are very vibrantly colored but the color scheme in my bedroom is quite subdued. Is there anything I can put on these prints to lighten/soften the colors? Maybe something I can just spray over the glass in the frame? Thanks for any advise!
