bendable dress forms?
Jan. 4th, 2005 07:58 amSlightly odd question for you:
Ok, so, I was wanting to get myself a dress form to better tailor some of my clothes. I am 5'2", and weigh roughly 88 beans. The thing is, I use a wheelchair/scooter to get around. I want my clothes to look good on me while I am sitting, not standing, because sitting is what I am doing the whole time anyway. A dress form would be pointless, because I can neither reach it while sitting, nor use it to tailor clothes that fit my body, because it is made for someone that stands. As we all know, clothes do different things and look differently when one is sitting, compared to standing.
Has anyone ever seen a dress form that bends at the waist? Do they make such a thing?
If not, how could I go about making my own (using the duct tape method) without the ability to stand?
