Would it be possible (and if so, would it be very hard?) to make these:

into a pair of these?

(talking about the lacing, if for some reason someone didn't understand)

This is a skirt I made from a B I G pair of sweatpants.. oh, how I loved those pants! But there was some holes in them because they were very very old, and I pretty much looked like a bum while wearing them :)

The second pic is of a not so flower-like flower I put there to hide a mistake I did. The pants had some huge pockets which I removed, and me being a super sewing newbie, I didn't think it through before sewing.

This is a skirt that I am very much in love with, as it's my first "real" sewing project. No patterns or anything. There's a couple of mistakes on this one too, but I don't think people on the street will stop me to tell me what a horrible job I did :p
