Beaded Candles?

Ok, so i've been doing a search for different candle projects and i came across something called beaded candles. i became highly interested in learning how to make them, but i've never heard of the supplies the instructions call for. for example: Halcraft USA Inc. Micro Mosaics and Therm O Web PeelnStick™ Double Sided Adhesive. where could i buy these items for a decent price and what are they?

i also have a question about sewing. i only have a small straight-stitch sewing machine that i got for christmas from my gramma. she bought it on the home shopping network, but i'm lost to what kind of beginner projects (because obviously i'm a beginner, lol) i can do with this machine because it doesn't do all the fancy stuff like zig-zag, which is very upsetting.
