Need a new iron.
Jan. 11th, 2005 11:17 pmFinally retiring my ancient Black and Decker iron. Looking for a replacement. Anyone have advice? Good brands?
I pretty much only use it for quilting (rarely, rarely for clothes). Need steam. Would love cordless (for ease, unless they are a pain in other ways) - but shooting to spend around $50. Thought I wanted auto shut off, but that might be a pain in the butt quilting (going back and forth from machine to ironing board as I sew). Lightweight is good for my hands. And can anyone justify why I'd spend $100+ on an iron?
Thanks in advance for your advice and experiences!
