Hand Warmers
Dec. 5th, 2002 11:49 amHi everyone.
I have a directions from a website that I don't remember that I once printed off the internet for Hand Warmers. They're cloth bags filled with ceramic pie weights that you put in the microwave to warm your hands.
Instructions: Cut out two 3-by-5 inch rectangles, sew together on three sides, leaving a 1/4-inch seam allowance; cut off corners. Turn bag right side out; fill with 1/2 cup pie weights. Blanket-stich all sides with embroiderly floss.
My problem is, the fabric it tells me to use is soft wool or heavy cashmere. I'm a vegan, so I don't use either of those. Does anyone have any other suggestions for me on what fabric to use to make these handwarmers?
Thanks in advance for your help :)
