Hi,
I just recently taught myself how to knit and although i like the speed of crochet i like the look and versatility of knit items a little more.
I can't read a pattern yet but i am pretty good at casting on (the cheater way, so i'm told but it seems to work for me), a basic knit stitch and binding off. So far i've got about 4 started scarves that i work on at random times and soon i will finish my first one.
I'd like to actually get together with other people who might have as much or more experience as myself or perhaps take lessons but don't know how to go about finding such groups.
I am a 30 year old, married, stay-at-home and work-at-home mom of a 21 month old little girl that keeps mommy on her toes and wouldn't mind escaping some evenings to hang out with other knitters in my area.
Do any of you belong to such a group or if you live in Orange County, California (I'm in Santa Ana) would you be interested in starting one?
(crossposted here and there......sorry if you see it more than once)
