Jan. 20th, 2005 11:56 pmokay...so the bridge on my cello broke today thanks to someone very clumsy...and i took the broken bridge off and painted it, then superglued it back together. i plan on using the broken, painted bridge as a wall hanging or some other form of bedroom decoration.
the front

the back

i wouldnt put a broken and superglued bridge back on my cello, and currently it has been sent out to be fitted for a brand new bridge...the thought of this painted one on my cello excites me, and im wondering: if i were to paint the new one, would it somehow change the sound travelling from the strings to the body of the instrument?
of course before i would do anything i'd ask a few experts on this, but im just curious if anybody knows anything about it or has tried it or could give me some insight into this...anything would be helpful.
