sewing help

i'm in desperate need of some help with a bag i'm sewing.

i promised my friend i'd make her this bag....



usually i figure out how to do things myself, but i don't understand how to do the darts on this bag. i looked on a few websites, read a few faqs on it, but i just don't get it. if i was making the bag for myself, i would probably just wing it and go for it. But, i'm making this for my friend and i really don't want to screw it up. Besides the fact that i keep putting it off, she asked me to make it sometime in october.

step 2. it says: Pin bags, right sides together, at bottom and sides, matching darts and notches. Stitch.

some kind of help, description, or easy tutorial is greatly appreciated. if there is a better place i could post this, please let me know. thanks in advance =)
