Modge Podge ~ acid free? Water-soluble?

craftgrrlI just bought my first bit of Modge Podge glue for various things, and I looked all over the label but could not find the information I was looking for. I just looked on line & still am not sure ~ does anyone know if Modge Podge is acid-free?
Also, I had heard some people say Modge Podge was similar to watered down elmer's glue, but I thought that Elmers will wash out & Modge Podge is *not* water-soluble & so wouldn't be affected by water. This seemed to be a good enough differnce to me. On the MP label it said it was water based, but never said water resistant, so I am wondering about this too. Does anyone know?
