You will need: a disc man, sharpies, a bobby pin, and a plain CD. My CD happens to be completely blank, but you can use the ones that have color as well.
This may be different on different brands of CD players, but it's the same basic idea. There should be a little switch (the one on mine is grey) it should be somewhere in the front. This is where the peg on the lid of the CD player goes in to tell it that it is closed.
Now, the player won't start spinning the CD until the lid is closed. So, in order for this to work put a bobby pin (other things will wor as well) in the switch, it should stay in there on it's own, if not just hold it in, you only need one hand.
Now you can go ahead and put you CD in and press play.
IMPORTANT: If you are decorating a data CD instead of a music CD your player may stop after it realizes it can't read the info. No worries, just start it back up.
Now, pick your colors. Place the sharpie where you want the stripe to be. You can move it around to. If you move it slowly, your stripes will be closer together, and if you move it quickly the stripes will be further apart. Use as many colors as you want!
Voila!
Hope this was clear enough, if not I'll be happy to answer any questions. Have fun!
